REQUIREMENTS

– Experience with real money wagering casino games
– Background in combinatorics, probability theory, and statistics
– Solid experience with MS Excel, including creating and adapting large and complex spreadsheets
– Basic programming knowledge and aptitude for learning advanced programming techniques using C++, C#, or similar languages for simulating game logic
– Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
– Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain and present technical and non-technical ideas in English

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., game design, mathematics, statistics, or computer science) or equivalent experience
– Passion for games of all kinds

FUNCTIONS

– Create game math for original games and provide math documentation for originals and ports of land-based games to engineers
– Test mathematical outcomes to assure quality and accuracy using MS Excel, programming, and proprietary tools
– Produce detailed math documentation including math models, game logic, PAR sheets, and customer-facing communication
– Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including producers, artists, engineers, and others throughout development across online studios
– Work with other designers and mathematicians to brainstorm concepts, create math and prototypes, maintain the game characteristics database, peer review documentation, and improve templates and processes
– Extensively playtest games in studio development and provide detailed verbal or written feedback on math, art, sound, messaging, pacing, and user interface
– Monitor performance data and industry trends to inform future game mechanics and understand market preferences in Europe, Canada, North America, and lottery-based casino customers
